Basic Information:
The top two in each age division receive a race medal.
(-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+)
Refreshments provided before and after the event.
T-shirts will be provided to the first 400 pre-registered. (500 person field limit).
There will be a very limited supply available for walk-up registrations—sizes are not guaranteed.
(T-shirts will not be ordered after Oct. 16th).
Door Prize/Raffle Drawing for participants

Race Day Times:
7:00 a.m. - Race Day Reg. Begins
8:45 a.m. - Registration Closes
9:00 a.m. - Introductions and Cancer
Survivor Testimonials
9:30 a.m. - 5K and 10K Runners Starts
- 5K Walk Starts Immediately After

The Harrisonburg Parks and Recreation is holding it's 7th Annual Race to Beat Breast Cancer 5K Run/Walk and 10K Run on October 24, 2009, with events beginning at 9:00 a.m. The event will begin and end at the Cecil F. Gilkerson Community Activities Center in Harrisonburg, VA. All proceeds from this event will benefit Rockingham Memorial Hospital Breast Cancer Treatment. T-shirts will be provided for the first 400 pre-registered. Refreshments will be provided before and after the event. There will be a raffle/door prize drawing following the race for all those participants. Race plaques will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each age division. Early registration ends on October 16th, with a fee of $20. Late and race-day registration will be $25. $15 per person for special groups/teams, i.e. clubs, sports, fraternities, sororities, etc. (minimum of 5 per team).
