After just getting a new/used vehicle and having to outfit it with equipment, even after it was done for bare minimum cost, the budget has been pretty much depleted. This unit serves the Village of Wappingers Falls, as well as mutual aid to the surrounding communities to provide the valuable resource of a K-9 trained in narcotics detection, and criminal searches. The show is going to be Sunday, October 4th, 2009, at Messier Park, Main St, in Wappingers Falls. (Across from the Police Department.) Show hours will be from 12pm-5pm. We are looking for publicity, vendors, people to bring cars, donations, and anything else you can think of that may help us out. If anyone would care to sponsor a trophy, we have 6 classes to sponsor. Top 30 in show - $25 each. Top 3 Motorcycles - $20 each. Top 3 Emergency Vehicles - $25 (only one left.) People's Choice ' $21. Commissioner's Choice - $40. Third Best In Show - $35. (Other trophies have already been sponsored.) If you buy one trophy, we are also including ' page of advertising space in our booklet, ' page for 2 trophies, ' page for 3 trophies, and a full page for 4 or more trophies. Also a $25 donation will get you half a page, $50 will get you a full page. We are also looking for volunteers to help us out with registering cars, judging, setup and breakdown, and a few other areas where we need assistance. Even if you can't make a donation, come on out to the car show. It will be $3 to get in for adults, children under 12 are free. To enter a car, it is a $20 entrance fee, free admission for the driver and one passenger. Vendors are welcome, for a $40 fee. There will be a 50/50 raffle, and door prizes.
