On Sunday May 16th, 2010, Alpine Learning Group, The EPIC School and REED Academy will be hosting a Family Bike Event at Northern Highlands Regional High School in Allendale, NJ. These schools are dedicated to providing individualized instruction to students with autism and support services to families. By collaborating on this event, we are using one voice to spread the message that everyone, from children to adults, can help us continue to turn uphill challenges into achievements. The ride begins at Thomas R. Grover Middle School in Princeton and offers a choice of scenic routes filled with history, charm and impressive country estates. Before you begin the ride help yourself to a complimentary breakfast and have your bike inspected by one of our volunteer bike mechanics. You can expect a route that is fully supported with SAG vehicles, volunteer assistance and rest stops stocked with fruit, snacks, water and sports drinks. When you return to the finish line you will be greeted by volunteer massage therapists and a complimentary lunch to help you refuel.
06/12/2010 Ride for Autism 10,25,50,62,100 miles Brookdale Community College Lincroft New Jersey NJ Andy Abere 732-521-2722 ride4autism.org ride4autism@comcast.net The Ride for Autism is a one-day charity bicycle tour designed to raise funds for Autism New Jersey and also to raise community awareness about autism. It is also an opportunity for socialization either as a participant or as a volunteer. In 2009, over 600 riders turned out to participate in this wonderful event. The ride is open to all levels of cyclists, from beginner to serious. Participants choose from five routes ranging in length from 10 to 100 miles, designed by the Jersey Shore Touring Society bicycle club. Rest stops and SAG support are provided on all routes. A vendor expo, one mile kids ride and kids activities take place through out the day. A celebratory lunch takes place immediately following the ride.

With more than 100 extraordinary rides, the Bike MS experience is the ride of your life. Find your ride today! Bike MS passes through natural wildlife preserve, historic towns, farm lands and back roads of New Jersey’s finest countryside. There are several route options to choose from noted below. On Saturday, the event will commence at 8:00am in Morristown, NJ. The route will include fully stocked rest stops every 10-15 miles, a great lunch break and safety provided by volunteer EMT’s, HAM radio operators, the Wayne Police Department and bicycle repair from our partner bike shops. We will conclude the day at the Parsippany Hilton where you will be treated with a delicious BBQ dinner, massage, musical entertainment and an evening comedy show. Everyone is up early on Sunday for breakfast and on the road by 8:00am. You will ride back to Morristown, NJ for a finish line celebration and a great feeling of accomplishment.
