The tri begins with a rectangular swim at Shelburne Beach. The lake is shallow for this swim and is monitored by race volunteers and/or lifeguards on several boats along the course. Following is and out-and-back bike ride and a run past scenic Shelburne Orchards. Family and friends can cheer you on from Shelburne Beach while little ones play at the playground there. Enjoy a BBQ or picnic afterward as there are BBQпїЅs and tables at the town beach.Choose to particate in either the Sprint Triathlon III division or the Vermont Senior Games division (open to anyone who will be at least 50 years of age by December 31, 2012). The Vermont Senior Games division is a qualifier for the 2013 National Senior Olympics in Cleveland, Ohio. |
