Run 9:30 AM Sat., August 15th Hosted by: The Pawling Recreation Department and Pawling Cross Country and Track and Field Boosters. Directions: From South, drive on route 22 towards Pawling. Shortly after passing Trinity Pawling School, located on the right-hand side of route 22, turn sharp left on Corbin Road. Lakeside Park will be located approximately ј mile at the first 4 way stop. From North, drive towards Pawling on route 22. Corbin road will be shortly after you pass the Citco station (first gas station after entering The Town of Pawling). Turn right on Corbin Road. Lakeside Park will be approximately ј mile at the first 4 way stop. Race Information Course: The course winds through the scenic Lakeside Park. It is a true cross country course with over 80% of the race run on well marked trails. Although relatively flat there is a challenging hill located in the trails. The distance is 3.1 miles.(5K) In an effort to continue to build interest in distance running in the Pawling community and the surrounding area, we are once again hosting the Lakeside Park 5 K Run. The course which will be run is one of the area's newest and most interesting 5 K cross country layouts. Last year the Conference IV North high school cross country championship race was held on this course and in 2007 the Northern Counties Cross Country Championship was also held on the Lakeside layout. This season we expect the 2008 Northern Counties Meet to also be at Lakeside. In the future we hope the course will one day host the Section I Championship Meet. We're excited about the race and come rain or shine, we will have the event. We invite all runners to come out to see our beautiful park and the excellent facilities. After the race an awards ceremony will be held in the Lathrop Building where refreshments will be available. This year, unlike previous years, all pre-registered runners will receive a commemorative T-Shirt. Awards: Age group awards determined by the number of entrants.

REGISTRATION LOCATED IN LATHROP BUILDING NEAR MAIN PARKING LOT Note: Only pre-registered runners will be guaranteed a T-shirt. Others will receive shirts based on first come basis Entry fee: $15.00 There will not be an increase in the entry fee amount for race day registration. If you are registering for the race on race day, please do so at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the race.
