Rumney Old Home Day Fun Run 5K

Benefit: Proceeds to benefit the Haven Little Scholarship Fund for higher education.

Course Description: Scenic New England village streets and roads (paved and gravel-surfaced). First 3 km of course is mostly flat, followed by 1 km of steady uphill climbing, finishing with a fast, 1-km downhill sprint to the finish.

Race Start Time, Place, and Course : 8:30 AM at the Rumney village common ( ¾-mi north of US Route 25 on Main Street). Course consists of two different loops out from and back to the common, allowing spectators to cheer the runners at the beginning, middle, and finish of the race.

Registration Fees: Registrations received before Aug 3 - $12 children (under 15 yrs), $17 adults after Aug 3 - $16 children (under 15 yrs), $ 21 adults

Race Day Signup: Check-in and late registrations take place 7:30 – 8:25 AM at the Rumney Village Common.

Awards and Prizes: Free T-shirt for early registrations only (entry must be received before Aug 1). A limited quantity will be available for later registrants, on race day for $10. Lots of random-draw prizes of merchandise and gift certificates, post-race refreshments. Medals awarded to top male and female overall finishers and the top three in the following age categories under 10 yrs of age, 10 – 19 yrs, ELECTRONIC TIMING THIS YEAR!! 20 – 29 yrs, 30 – 39 yrs, 40 – 49 yrs, 50 – 59 yrs, 60 – 69 yrs, 70 and over

In consideration of the above named Old Home Day activity. I should not enter and run unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the run. I assume all risks associated with running this race including, but not limited to, falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including heat and/ or humidity, traffic and the conditions of the road all such risks being known and appreciated by me, having read this waiver and application. I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the organizers, volunteers, Town of Rumney, Rumney Parks and Recreation volunteers and all Rumney Old Home Day volunteers, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings or any other recording of this event for any legitimate purpose. I have read this release of all claims and sign it voluntarily and with full understanding of its implications. Entry fees are non-refundable. I understand that at this event or related activities, I may be photographed.
