This event is the Grand Daddy of the series, not for the faint of heart, but if you dare to enter you'll experience some of the most scenic back country in the Santa Monica Mountains. The 6k is a great intro event with paved roads and singletrack along Upper Sycamore Canyon.

Located just off of Hwy 101 at the Independence Lane exit, Francis Ford Coppola Winery is being renovated into a majestic destination winery, unlike any you'll ever visit. The winery will be undergoing renovations during the race, but the tasting room will be open and tours will be offered during normal hours. Parking is not allowed at the winery so please use the designated parking and drop-areas or take the provided transportation to the start. Once you pass through the gates at the winery your journey into the Alexander and Dry Creek Valley begins! You'll pass 22 wineries on the course! There will be 7 aid stations on course. Some will offer additional treats and wine samples just to keep you motivated. Be sure to check out aid station #3 next to Quivira Winery where can get a boost of honey paired with Grenache Rose or Sauvignon Blanc. Feel free to sample the offerings but don't linger too long, the best part comes after the race! You are running during the area at the most beautiful time of all, as the vines shimmer with autumn colored leaves. Feel free to bring your camera, but leave the big telephoto lens behind.

This scenic Napa to Sonoma 13.1 mile course starts at Cuvaison Carneros Estate on Duhig Road just off of Hwy 121. Runners congregate in one of the most beautiful start areas anywhere. You'll warm up next to the winery alongside rows of rolling vineyards and a reservoir. Once out of the starting gate, there is a short but steep ascent up Duhig (Butt Burner Hill) and then it’s a beautiful cruise down into the Carneros wine country. Enjoy vistas of the Napa-Sonoma Marshes Wildlife Preserve, San Pablo Bay and Mt. Tamalpais in Marin, as you wind through hundreds of rolling acres of vineyards and wineries. You'll also pass ranches filled with a variety of animals including horses, cows, pigs, sheep, goats, llama’s, chickens and donkeys on your way into Sonoma. You'll finish down Broadway in Sonoma to a throng of cheering spectators leading to the finish line right in front of City Hall. Then its time to enjoy th e awards and the popular post-race Wine & Music Festival in the historic Sonoma Plaza.

This festive event is patterned in part after the Marathon du Medoc in France and occurs on Halloween weekend. Teams of costumed runners to experience the ultimate destination running experience, unlike any other in this country. The journey starts at the magnificent Francis Ford Coppola Winery and finishes at Warm Springs recreation area next to Lake Sonoma for the popular Wine & Music Festival.
