Historically, this event has been one of the most popular events in the Kansas City area. In 2010, it became part of the Ultramax Nation. The event features both intermediate and short course triathlons. Entry Fee: Price Increases at 40 Days and 20 Days Out Prior To 5/9/11 = (Long Tri $85 - Short Tri $75) 5/10/11 - 5/29/11 = (Long Tri $95 - Short Tri $85) 5/30/11 - 6/18/11 = (Long Tri $110 - Short Tri $99) No Race Day Entries No Relay Teams in 2011 NEW Elite Prize Money Division - $95 (100% Payout up to $5,000) Limited to 100 total registrants. Minimum payout $2,000. USAT non-professional athletes ARE eligible for age group overall awards but will NOT be eligible for individual age group classification awards. The 2K has only one large hill. Start time is 7:30 am. These races are held in conjunction with the Amelia Earhart Festival. There is a carnival, children's games, crafts, food booths, and in the evening, the best fireworks display in the midwest! |
