In 2008, over 3,000 people walked or ran in the 5K and 10K routes, raising over $164,000 in the fight against cancer. Our goal is to raise $170,000 in 2009. The 5K and 10K Run/Walk is an event for all ages. Companies, families and friends form teams to celebrate that the battle with cancer can be won. To help fight cancer and raise community awareness, each participant is asked to collect pledges.

The first half of the full marathon has several hills, but the second half is a gradual down hill push with just a couple of small hills. This is a race not to be missed.

It is a funraising event to promote fitness in our community in a fun, interactive way for all ages. The St. Clare 5K Walk/Run will proceed through scenic Baraboo, passing several sights that are integral to St. Clare’s heritage, such as the original St. Mary’s Ringling Hospital, the Franciscan Sisters of Mary Hope Community home and St. Clare Meadows Care Center. Check-In and Race Packets Check-in will be from 7:00 to 7:45 a.m. on Saturday, July 11 on the St. Clare Hospital east lawn, 707 14th Street. Ron was the football coach at Manitowoc Lincoln High School for over 32 years before passing in February due to complications from cancer. The Rubick Run will begin in the bowl of Lincoln High School, run along the beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline and finish at Municipal Field, the site of so many of Ron's victories with the Ships. All fees increase by $5.00 after November 30, 2009 Brief Description Take a beautiful run/walk through a holiday light and music extravaganza! The Washington County Rotary Clubs are installing HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of holiday lights, fountains and virtual ice displays that will be masterfully choreographed with heart-warming, holiday music. Relieve some holiday stress and spend a time with family and friends all while raising money to support a good cause. Additional Information The Reindeer Dash will begin at 3:00pm and is for children ages 13 and under. Children will be grouped by age categories and will run/walk distances appropriate for their age. Afterwards they can visit Santa's Workshop! The Run/Walk will begin at 4:00pm. It will consist of a loop on the County Fairpark grounds and will end in the midst of the Holiday Extravaganza! The proceeds from this run/walk will benefit the children, youth and families served by the Council on Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse of Washington County.

A certified marathon course using ChampionChip timing. Other races offered include a half marathon and a 5K fun run/walk. A special award is presented to the top finisher in our 5K race who works for a law enforcement agency, aptly titled the BloodHound Challenge. After all races, a free meal is available to all runners. 100% of the proceeds for this event go to benefit Waushara County Crimestoppers and their support of many of Waushara County's law enforcement programs.
