It’s a 1.2K run/walk/stroll starting at 10 am, just $30 for a team of four… Decorated entries are encouraged! Wear Santa Hats, dress up the kids as Elves, put costumes on your pets, and decorate your Bikes, Wagons and Strollers. There will be prizes for the Best Decorated Entry, Cutest Pet Entry and Christmas Spirit Awards. Gilbert Christian School students will be singing carols in the park beginning at 9 am, joined by other school children and choirs throughout the morning. They’ll be singing carols at each “K” of a 12K Run – a “Sea of Santas” where every runner will get a Santa Hat and runners will get prizes for the best Christmas-themed running outfits. Produced in partnership with Maricopa County Animal Care & Control, the event will feature Santa’s Pet Village where Maricopa County Animal Care & Control and other local rescue groups will be on hand for families looking to find a new furry friend. And, a Christmas festival wouldn’t be complete without shopping, so be sure to visit our Christmas Bazaar showcasing hand-made Christmas craft items. A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit Maricopa County Animal Care.
