Lured in by this pleasant start, contestants will shortly have their dreams shattered as the course quickly leaves anything remotely civilized in appearance and trots up a steep tree and brush covered hill. Once down the back side you'll find yourself (briefly) on the Iron Horse Trail. Not satisfied that everyone has had their fill of brush, rocks, trees, and (hopefully) mud, the course finds you yet a new way to retrace your general route back to the finish line. |

Along this compact and fast trail you will have forest around you for a brief period, along the south shore you will run right along the lake taking in gorgeous views of Mt. Hood! The KAT Walks are produced by DaVita, Inc., the largest independent provider of dialysis services in the United States, and benefit The Kidney TRUST, a 501(c)3 public charity that seeks to reduce the advancement of Chronic Kidney Disease by providing cost-effective rapid-screening for everyone as well as financial assistance to people affected by CKD. The event will be filled with entertainment for all ages. Bring your friends, your family, and your colleagues from work – the more, the merrier. There will be an appearance by the one and only KAT mascot, and the DaVita KAT Bounce House for kids. The KAT Walks began in 2006. Over 5,500 walkers and volunteers have participated to date.
